Down to three for Chu

A versatile defensive lineman is always a bonus for a program and one of the top DE/DT combos this past season was College of the Sequoias' Immanuel Chu (6-3, 275) and while he's already taken one visit, two other schools have visits set and he's hoping to make a decision shortly after taking a look at those two programs.

"I'm visiting Middle Tennessee on January 4th and Nevada the week after that," Chu told JCFootball.com recently. "I visited UAB at the beginning of December and had a good visit and those are pretty much the three schools I will be choosing between."

Chu hails from Georgia so he likes the thought of returning to the south to finish out his college career.

"I'll admit it that UAB and MTSU have the edge a little bit because they're close to home," Chu noted. "But Nevada has been on me for a while and they have a good squad and I like the coaches a lot and I've gotten used to being out here so they have a good shot too."

Chu had 30 tackles this past season while posting four sacks and five tackles-for-loss. His versatility is what sets him apart from some other players as he can play almost any position along the line.

"I'm good at bull-rushing, but I can do either speed or bull rushes," Chu said. "I played every position along out line last year and it was hard at times getting used to playing inside, but it was fun to be out there and splitting double teams.

"I'll play wherever a team needs me. I just want to play."

Wherever Chu ends up, he'll have two years to play two when he arrives.
