Is Rausch going to commit?

A quarterback that put up big numbers this past season while leading his team to the playoffs was College of the Desert's Brent Rausch (6-4, 190). He's been working hard to earn a scholarship offer and this past weekend, while he was on an unofficial visit to a WAC school he got that offer and this weekend, while he's back on campus for his official visit he could end up committing on the spot.

"I was out at Hawaii this past weekend," Rausch told "I met with the coaches and they sorta showed me around. It wasn't an official visit because I paid my way there.

"I'm going out there this next weekend on an official visit to check them out again and to meet with the coaches again and I'd say there is a very good chance I will commit on my visit."

For the season Rausch completed over 60% of his passes for almost 2,700 yards, 28 touchdowns and only eight interceptions while leading the Roadrunners to a 9-1 record.

"It was a fun season all the way around," Rausch said. "I had a great time getting to know my teammates and working hard with them to get our team to the playoffs and we accomplished that."

Rausch redshirted in 2006, so if he commits and signs with Hawaii, he will have three years to play three once he arrives on campus.

We'll have more from Rausch after his official visit this coming weekend.
