Hall hopes interest picks up soon

Sometimes talented players fall through the cracks and don't get the recruiting attention their skills warrant. Mesa S Jamichael Hall (6-2, 195) is just such a player and he's hoping that recruiting picks up over the next few months as he recently mailed out a bunch of game film to some prospective suitors.

"I've been busy sending out tape," Hall told JCFootball.com recently. "Basically I have a bunch of offers from some D-2 schools, but every football player wants to play D-1 ball so that's what I'm focusing on right now.

"I sent film to Southern Mississippi, Alabama, Mississippi State, Middle Tennessee, Cal, Hawaii and Arizona State and a bunch of other ones. I'm hoping that schools decide they need a JC guy to come in and play and they give me a look."

Hall considers himself a big hitter, but he can cover as well.

He put up 60 tackles, four interceptions, one sack, one safety and double-digit passes defensed and earned All-Conference and All-Region honors while being named a First Team NJCAA All-American.

"I can cover and hit, but I'd say I'm more of a big hitter than anything," Hall said. "I worked really hard on my conditioning and footwork last summer and it really helped me this year because it put me in better position to make plays and I was stronger as the games and the season went along."

Hall already has his two-year degree, but he's re-taking a class that he hopes to improve his grade in.

Wherever he ends up, Hall will have three years to play two the moment he steps on campus.
