Davis picks up another offer

One of the most versatile and talented wideouts in the entire country this year is College of the Siskiyous WR Darius Davis(5-11, 195). He already had one offer to his name, but last week he got his second offer and he's had a parade of coaches come through to take a look at what he has to offer this month.

"I already had the offer from Akron, but New Mexico came in last week and offered me," Davis said. "That was pretty cool because they have a good offense and I think I could fit in there pretty well if I decided to go there."

As a freshman for the Eagles, Davis pulled down 61 receptions for 928 yards and eight touchdowns while also averaging 24.4 yards per kickoff return.

That versatility has brought several programs through to see what he can do and several have told him they like him a lot.

"California came by and they said they were interested," Davis said. "They didn't offer me, but they said they really liked what they saw.

"Kentucky has been talking to me a lot and there are a bunch of other schools that have stopped by."

Davis has excellent grades and, because he was a full-qualifier, he can leave at any time. However, he plans to play this fall for Siskiyous and sign with a school in December.

Wherever he ends up he'll have three years to play two when he arrives on campus.
