Wolfpack adds El Camino corner to 2008 class

It's amazing, but the El Camino Warriors have continued to add to a huge class of D-1 signees as CB Mike Evans (5-11, 185) committed to Nevada this past weekend on an official visit and signed his paperwork on Monday afternoon.

"I just signed my paperwork this afternoon," an excited Evans told JCFootball.com on Monday. "It feels good and I really liked the coaches a lot.

"They are player coaches and they really seemed interested in me as a person and not just as a football player. It felt real comfortable there, so it's a great situation for me."

Evans had offers from both Nevada and Memphis to choose between and he was hearing from schools like Miami, Oregon State, Boise State and Texas A&M with the chance of singing with them after the fall.

"It's big for me to get out and play this fall," Evans said. "This was just the right situation for me and I'm really excited to get started."

Evans will now begin a whirlwind three weeks where he will finish classes at El Camino, pack up and head east to Reno to join his new teammates in offseason workouts.

"It's coming up fast, but it's definitely exciting," Evans said.

Evans sports a 4.5 forty time, a 34-inch vertical and he recently maxed out at 320 pounds on the bench.

He will have four years to play three starting this fall.
