Crim has offers from all over

After a standout prep career in Tallahassee, Fla. current Butler CB Rudell Crim (5-11, 195) had his choice of places to go, but he didn't get a qualifying test score, so he headed to one of the top JC programs in the country. Now Crim is one of the top JUCO DB prospects in the country and he's got plenty of offers to prove it.

"Being here in Kansas is a lot different than Tallahassee," Crim admitted with a chuckle to recently. "I mean, really are there is for me to do is play ball and go to school.

"Without the distractions, I've got school going well and I'm fully focused on what I need to do to be successful in the classroom as well as out on the field."

As a freshman for Butler last year, Crim managed to post 38 tackles, three interceptions, three sacks and five passes defensed while playing in all 12 games.

This year, Ruddell is already off to a solid start posting 22 tackles and four passes defensed as teams have continued to throw away from his side of the field.

"It's frustrating, but I take it as a compliment," Crim said. "I just have to keep my concentration and make sure when I have a chance to make a play that I do it."

On the recruiting front Crim has offers from schools across the country and he said he's hoping to set up some visits after the season.

"West Virginia, Illinois, Alabama, South Florida, Arkansas, Kansas, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Louisville, Iowa State and a bunch of other ones have all been in contact," Crim said. "I've sorta lost count honestly and my coaches said I have offers from a lot of schools, but they said I need to wait to find out which ones have offered so that I can concentrate on school and on what I need to do out there on the field.

"I'm open to everyone, but I would really like to go back to Florida if I could so that may play into it some. I'm just going to worry about my season and the recruiting stuff will work out in the end."

Crim said he believes he's on pace to graduate in December and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
