Blinn's Warren holds down the nose

When you man the nose tackle position, it's tough to put up big statistics, but Blinn DT Sean Warren (6-0, 195) has put up solid numbers manning the middle for the Buccaneers so far this season. Warren recently received his third offer and he updated JCFootball.com on that as well as what he likes most about playing head up on the center.

"I'm playing head up a lot, but I'm also playing the three (technique)," Warren told JCFootball.com recently. "I'm comfortable inside and splitting double-teams and reading the guards and making plays."

Warren only has 11 tackles, but he's also been able to notch 4.5 sacks and three tackles-for-loss as well.

"Making plays takes a back seat to doing my job," Warren said. "I need to occupy blockers so our linebackers and make plays and I'm fine with doing that."

On the recruiting front, Warren already had offers from North Texas and UAB and he recently received and offer from Texas Southern.

"They offered me a week ago," Warren said. "I'm still wide open to everyone and I won't take any visits until after my season. SMU, Southern Mississippi, Troy and McNeese State are stil recruiting me pretty hard as well."

Warren was a full-qualifier out of high school so he'll be able to sign with a school in December and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
