Price sets Pac 10 visit

Blinn DE/LB Jarred Price (5-10, 215) has always held a special place in his heart for the Cal Golden Bears. In fact he thought about committing to Cal over the summer, but he shied away from that when he was counseled to wait and see what else was out there. Now he's back to having the Bears at the top of his list and he recently set up a visit to be in Berkley this weekend...

"Both me and Justin Jordan, our wide receiver, will be at Cal this weekend," Price told "We're going to take a look at the campus and the school and stuff like that and we will get to see a good game because both of those teams (Stanford and California) are big rivals with each other."

Price has offers from several other schools to go with his Cal offer, but he said the Bears still hold strong right at the top of his list.

"Cal has always been up there for me and they are a great school and a great football program," Price said. "Right now it's them at the top, but Kansas State is right there too and I was supposed to set up a visit with Kansas State earlier, but with their coaching staff being let go, I'm not sure where things stand with them right now."

Also in line for possible visits from Price are Kentucky and Boise State, but he said a warm climate is where he'd like to be.

"I don't like being in cold weather," Price admitted with a slight chuckle. "I can do it, but I really like playing in warm weather and places like Cal are perfect for that."

Besides the three schools he's looking closely at, Price also claims offers from Ohio and UAB as well.

While helping to lead the Buccaneers to a 9-2 record, Price has managed to post 21 tackles, 14 sacks and 6.5 tackles-for-loss.

Price is still on pace to graduate in May and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
