Davis is an all-purpose threat for Siskiyous

He ranks second in the state in All-Purpose yardage, but College of the Siskiyous WR Darius Davis (5-11, 195) is still waiting on his first offer. JCFootball.com caught up with the elusive receiver and return man recently and he updated us on things including which schools have been requesting he take a visit to check out their programs...

"We didn't have a very good year this year," Davis lamented over the weekend. "We finished 3-7, but I personally had a great year."

Davis had 64 receptions for 952 yards and 10 touchdowns while amassing another 900 yards on returns including 2 kickoff returns for touchdowns, one from 87 yards and one from 82 yards out.

On the recruiting front Davis had scheduled a visit to one of his favorites, but a coaching change nixed that plan.

"I was supposed to go to New Mexico (offer), but the coach stepped down down there, so I'm not sure about them anymore," Davis said. "I'm still interested, but it depends on if the new head coach will be interested in me.

"I know I'm going to Akron (offer) next month (December) and I will probably visit Memphis and Kansas State then too."

Davis was a full-qualifier out of high school, so he plans to sign with a school in December he he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
