As I fly out the door for the airport and the Calif. Championship Game... Here's a quick and dirty look at JC prospects and where we hear they're tripping and/or committed. I didn't even have time to include heights and weights for many of the guys! But some info is better than none for all the recruitniks out there. Perhaps another (better) report over the weekend.

Fresno RB Earl Charles tripped Marshall, Southern California, and was getting real interest from Kentucky before the coaching change. He really liked how they ran the ball. Auburn and now Penn State (evaluating film) are other potential options for this great running back.

Pasadena DT David Harley (6-1, 300) is leaving for a look at Rutgers. The Florida strongman has already tripped N. Carolina.

Garden City RB Tyson Thompson helped himself with the 300-yd game vs. Glendale. He is looking at LSU, Kansas, KSU and Arkansas. The Razorbacks already have a commitment from RB Shermar Bracey, who was left off the 2002 Coffeyville roster due to the 12 out-of-stater limit. He's a speedster.

LSU is looking at TE Jon Lyon (6-6, 250; Saddleback), DE Michael Montgomery (Navarro), LB Justin Burks (Cerritos), LB Marcus Miller (Cerritos), LB Ben Henderson (Joliet; he already verballed to LSU), LB Ken Hollis (E Mississippi), CB Brian Staley (Georgia Military), and CB Eric Fuller (Independence).

College of the Canyons DL Lex Maka has an offer from

Cerritos LB Marcus Miller (6-2, 225) tripped N Carolina and Marshall already. The Tarheels are pressing him. He will trip Oregon (1/10), K-State (12/13 probably), and maybe Florida A&M.

Rainey River WR Cedric Taggart (6-0, 198) is a speed burner who gets out in May. He has reportedly been talking to Minnesota, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Pitt just called. He had 39 receptions for about 900 yards and 11 TDs. The standout number: 26 yards per catch.

Rainey River FS Andreas Williams (6-3, 185) had 10 INTs this year. Minnesota and TAMU are showing interest.

Rainey River OL Pete Mills (6-6, 365) is getting looks from Minnesota. Apparently, he will go back to Arizona to finish his AA. The HC at RRCC tells me that Mills is the best OL he has coached and could play anywhere if he locks down his academics.

Rainey River ILB Roderick Dobson (6-0, 230) is getting looks from Weber State, SW Missouri, and Minnesota.

LA Pierce PK/P John Wall (USC bounceback) is getting serious looks from Buffalo, Marshall, Portland State, and Ohio U.

East Central (Miss.) running back Ramon Williams is getting looks from Memphis and Okla. State. He's a big back at 6-1, 220.

Fresno TE Tommy Briggs is reportedly being looked at by Nevada.

Southwestern WR Richard Gaines will reportedly attend D2 school, Texas AM-Kingsville.

TE Ray Gurley of Independence committed to Southern Miss, but is tripping Arizona this weekend. He'll let us know on Monday where he's headed.

Coffeyville WR Ray Hicks committed to Utah State.

Coffeyville DE Montez Murphy, who didn't play in 2002 due to the out-of-stater restrictions, de-committed Kentucky in favor of Baylor.

Coffeyville LB John Poe, who will be 3x3, is described to me as 'hell on wheels.' He's headed to Tennessee I'm told.

Cerritos OL Anthony Guerrero is tripping Florida and is also interested in Arizona and Nebraska.

Cerritos OT Richard Estrella could very well end up at Kansas.

Ventura OL Billy Griffin is tripping Florida (12/13). He also has serious interest from Boise State and Louisville.

Ventura TE Victor Sesay just tripped Missouri. This former B-Ball player was a freshman phenom and made All-Conf. in 2002.

Ventura DE Bryan Gardner is tripping San Jose State. He is very athletic and has a lot of upside.

Scottsdale RB Kevin Fain is tripping Washington (12/13).

Scottsdale OL Joe Critchfield has the most interest from UNLV (tripped), Louisiana Tech (tripped), and New Mexico State.

TE Willie Roberts of NEO has committed to Oklahoma. He was playing his first year of football after nearly 2 years off.

Southwestern TE Matt Gravette was getting looks from San Jose State,  UC-Davis, and New Mexico State.

San Jose State reportedly got a verbal from TE Leon Pinkey (College of the Canyons), who signed with Tennessee  after last year. NCAA Clearinghouse issues never let him play for Tennessee. So after a year off, he is now headed to San Jose State (at least that's what we're hearing). This could obviously effect Gravette (above).

Hartnell OT Sam Vegas is going to visit San Jose State.

West Hills OT JR Loussaint will probably end up at Nevada.

East Central (Miss.) OT Marcel Binion is getting good looks from Memphis, Troy St., Oklahoma State.

Dodge City OT Travis Triplett is also being looked at hard by Memphis and Oklahoma State. But I think Florida is looking at him too.

:Long Beach OT John Drake is seeing the most interest from Arizona, USC, and Oregon.

San Diego Mesa center Carey Nagel is seeing the most interest from Pitt.

Fullerton DT John Guydon committed to Colorado

Navarro OT Zarnell Fitch is reportedly getting the most looks from Texas AM. We'll see what happens due to the coaching change.

Coffeyville DE Wali Muhammad will probably end up at either Temple or Nebraska.

East Miss. DE Eddie Moss will go to either Middle Tennessee or Louisiana Tech.

Mesa DE Mike Mapu is headed to the Pac-10. He tripped Washington already and has Oregon and Arizona on the docket.

USC bounceback DT Malcolm Woolridge (Wm. Rainey Harper) is seeing serious interest from Kansas State, Indiana, and Illinois.

Jones County DE Chauncey Davis is committed to Florida State.

NEO DT Mike Pruitt is bound for Kansas State.

Garden City LB Marcus West has the most interest from Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Missouri.

Coffeyville RB Damien Nash, who missed the season with a knee, is still headed to Missouri where he signed out of HS.

Cerritos LB Justin Burks will probably go to either Florida, LSU, North Carolina, or Arizona State.

Los Medanos LB Tag McCurdy is getting the most interest from Cal and Oregon. It may be a waiting game for this slightly undersized LB with 4.5 speed.

Orange Coast LB Dan Steinau committed to Western Michigan.

Big Snow OT Iosefa Robins is seeing the most interest from North Carolina State. He committed to Utah out of HS but recently decommitted. Some D1s probably don't know he's available. Great player.

Coffeyville DB Danny Tolbert has been offered by E. Carolina.

Independence FS LeUndo Adams has Southern Miss, Kansas, UAB, and Arkansas State. Missouri is now in the picture, too, which could be the preferred school (proximity to mom). He suffered a personal tragedy during the year and missed some school time. Hopefully, he can get caught up and fulfill his dreams of playing at the next level.

Fresno DB/PR Rodney Woods is a Cal commit.

Garden City cornerback Corey Reddick was getting looks from, Arkansas, K-State, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, and others. I think I may read somewhere that he committed to K-State. I'll have to look into it!

Fresno DB Matt Giordano committed to Cal.

NEO DB Brandon Johnson is headed to Kansas.

Pima safety Ryan Patterson is reportedly committed to Michigan. His dad played there. All he has to do is get his credits in order.

Fresno WR Willie Johnson (6-5, 200) could take the easy road and return to Nevada in January. Or he could finish four classes by the end of summer and go anywhere (like Tennessee).

American River DL Matt Porter just visited Youngstown State. He will probably trip to Univ. of Kentucky sometime this month. He is still being considered by UNLV and San Diego State.

Mt. SAC punter Dominic Milano got an offer from Buffalo. He was all-conference this year.

Mt. SAC OT Darren DeLone (6-6, 320) is tripping Nebraska, Florida, and Miss. State.

Mt. SAC LB Francis Blay-Miezah is leaning to Cal over Utah and Colorado State (tripped recently).

Mt. SAC OL Johnny Urritia (6-3, 320) committed to Kansas.

Mt. SAC OL Bobby Garafalo is probably going to attend New Mexico State.

Mt. SAC safety DeShawn McCullough (I may have misspelled; sorry) is starting to get a look from Texas Tech. He's a UCLA bounceback.

Mt. SAC DE Chuck Asiodu (6-1, 235) tripped Colorado State and is also considering San Jose State. He's an academic All-American.

Mt. SAC OL/DL Derrick Durbin is getting the most looks from San Jose State and Portland State.

Dodge City RS-Freshman QB Walter Washington is tripping Temple and already tripped Nebraska. It'll come down to those two (probably).

San Francisco corner Marc Walker is getting serious looks from both Cal and Oregon. No decision yet.
