Weaver to visit MAC school this weekend

Santa Rosa CB Diamond Weaver (5-10, 185) has seen recruiting pick up over the past month and he'll be at a MAC program this weekend checking things out. Read on to find out which other schools, including some BCS programs, have started to pick things up with the talented cover-corner and which ones might get an official visit...

Weaver had a solid season for the Bear Cubs, posting 40 tackles, one sack, 13 passes defensed and one interception while helping to lead them to a 7-4 record.

Now he's focused on getting his official visits in and the first school on his itinerary is a program that has been on him for a while.

"I'm going to Akron this weekend (Dec. 5th) and I'll check them out and see what they are all about," Weaver told JCFootball.com. "I have some offers from some other schools and I will probably get one from Northern Arizona if I visit there and I think I'm going to because they have been recruiting me really hard.

"Other than that, Washington State has come on real recently, Oregon State and San Jose State and Kansas State are all schools I'm considering."

Weaver will be able to sign with a school in February and he'll be able to leave in May with three years to play two wherever he ends up.
