Recruiting picks up for Peterson

He could leave to attend a four-year school in December, but Sierra OL David Peterson (6-3, 295) may wait to see what else comes down the pike. JCFootball.com caught up with the gifted lineman and he updated us on things including which schools have picked up in their interest over the past few weeks...

"I'm visiting Central Missouri on December 12th," Peterson told JCFootball.com. "I'm visiting them because they are a D-2 school and I can sign with them at any time and they have been after me for a while."

Peterson is on pace to graduate in May and he has some D-1 schools looking at him enough to possibly make him delay his decision.

"Sacramento State, San Jose State, Idaho State, San Diego State and Washington State are all after me right now," Peterson said. "They all know I am a May graduate, so they may not set up any visits with me until January.

"I'm sorta torn because I want to make sure I can get a scholarship, but on the other hand I think I can play at the highest level, so I know it's risky but I'd like to wait if I could to see what else comes down for me."

Wherever Peterson ends up he'll have three years to play two.
