WAC visit on tap for Leonard

He's one of the more versatile JUCO offensive linemen in the country, but recruiting is just now picking up for Saddleback OT Brett Leonard (6-7, 300). He's had a Pac 10 power interested in him most of the year and he's still hoping to schedule a visit there, but in the meantime a WAC school has made an offer and he'll be there this weekend to check them out...

Leonard played left tackle for the Gauchos the past two years, but he could play almost anywhere along the line.

"I feel comfortable at tackle, but if a team wanted me at guard, I could do it," Leonard told JCFootball.com. "I just want to play and if that means I have to play somewhere else, that's fine by me."

Leonard had been talking to California for a while and had even scheduled a tentative official visit to Berkley for last weekend, but that never materialized.

"It didn't work out for me to go there, but they are still talking about bringing me in for a visit," Leonard said. "I'm very interested in them, so it's a school I'm still looking at.

"I did schedule a visit with Hawaii for this coming weekend (Dec. 12th - 14th) and Kansas, Marshall, Nevada and Miami of Ohio are all after me.

"Actually Miami offered me, but their staff all got fired, so I'm not sure where things stand with them right now."

Leonard expects to sign with a school this month and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
