Forgy hauls in MAC offer

Ellsworth DE Joe Forgy (6-3.5, 240) had an outstanding sophomore season, earning honorable mention All-American honors for his efforts, but recruiting is just now starting to pick up for the talented pass-rusher. JCFootball.com caught up with Forgy recently and he updated us on things including the offer he recently received from a MAC power who is headed to a bowl game...

"Western Michigan offered me so that was pretty cool," Forgy told JCFootball.com. "Right now they are my only offer, but I'm hoping some more schools come at me soon.

"I've been sending out tape to a lot of schools and I've been calling schools and talking to them about my season and how I did."

In addition to the All-American honors, Forgy also received First Team All-Conference and All-Region honors after he posted 13 sacks and over 50 tackles for the Panthers.

"I feel very comfortable with my hand on the ground, but I just want to play," Forgy said in October. "If a school wanted me to play linebacker, I could do that, but I'm at my best with my hand on the ground rushing the quarterback."

Forgy can sign with a school this month and he will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
