Clark commits and signs with Oregon

It's been a crazy month for Butler DE Zac Clark (6-3, 250). He helped lead his team to a NJCAA National Championship and he was able to fit three visits into his tight schedule as well. After considering his options, Clark decided to sign with Oregon on Wednesday the first day of the mid-year JUCO signing period.

"I just sent in my paperwork this morning," Clark told JCFootball.com. "It feels good. Oregon is a great program and they just made me feel at home.

"I visited Louisville the weekend before Thanksgiving, Boise State the weekend after Thanksgiving and then last weekend I had the championship game and then on the Wednesday after that I headed out to Oregon to check them out for a couple of days and it was everything I wanted."

Clark played on the weakside for the Grizzlies and he's expecting to take over the spot being vacated by graduating senior Nick Reed.

"They have the perfect scheme for what I can do," Clark said. "They want me to put my hand down and get after the QB and that's what I do best."

As a sophomore at Butler this past fall, Clark managed to post 70 tackles, 16 tackles-for-loss, 13 quarterback hurries and eight sacks.

Clark will arrive in Eugene in January and he'll have three years to play two once he steps on campus.
