Pope still waiting on first D-1 offer

A big, physical wideout who is still waiting on his first offer is Ventura WR Tim Pope (6-3, 213). He's been waiting patiently and he's scheduled visits to two schools who are interested in his services. JCFootball.com got Pope's thoughts on things recently and here's what he had to say...

Pope finished the season with 35 receptions for 604 yards and nine touchdowns and he's parlayed that productivity into interest from several schools.

"I was supposed to visit Nevada and Tuskegee in late November but that never happened," Pope said. "I'll visit Tuskegee on January 16th and they've offered me.

"I'll be at Marshall the next weekend, but they haven't offered me yet and schools like Akron, Temple, Wyoming and UNLV are all looking at me, but they haven't been too serious yet."

Pope will finish his two-year degree in May and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
