Recruiting picks up for Brooks

Teams are always looking for bookend tackles who can play on either side of the line and Compton OL Christopher Brooks (6-4, 325) is an athletic offensive lineman looking for a home. JCFootball.com caught up with the athletically gifted lineman and he updated us on things...

"I'm still waiting on some schools right now," Brooks told JCFootball.com recently. "I have offers from Texas Southern and Prairie View, but I want to wait and see if I can go D-1 and I have schools like Arizona, Louisville, SMU and Colorado looking at me right now."

Brooks was received preseason All-American honors and was solid at left tackle for the Tartars this past season.

"I can do it all," Brooks said. "I'm a good pass-blocker and I can run block well too. I just want the chance to play. I think if you compare me to the best o-linemen out there, I will do just fine because I don't think there is anybody better than me."

Brooks has already completed his AA degree so he can sign with anyone. Wherever he ends up he'll have three years to play two.
