Warner down to two

After his visit to Washington this past weekend, Compton DT Branden Warner (6-5, 295) said he was down to three schools. Well, things change on an hourly basis this time of the year in recruiting and Warner got the news on Tuesday morning that he is no longer in the running for one of his favorite schools. Who is still in the running and when will he decide? Read on to find out more...

"I got a call from Tennessee and they basically told me that I'm not longer a consideration for them," Warner told JCFootball.com on Tuesday night. "They said I really don't fit their system, so I don't know what that means, but basically it's now Washington and UCLA for me."

Warner is set to host Husky head coach Steve Sarkisian on Wednesday and then he will think about things and make his final decision shortly thereafter.

"UCLA is a great program and I really like the coaching staff there," Warner said. "I could make the decision to go there and be really happy, but the thing is, Washington has really stepped up and showed me how much they want me and that I'm needed and wanted there too.

"It will come down to my comfort level first of all and then it will be about when I can get in there. I can get into Washington in spring, but I'd have to wait until summer to get into UCLA and that is something I really have to think about because I want to have a chance at playing spring ball so I can learn the system so I'm not thinking as much in the fall."

Warner said he hopes to have a decision sometime next week, but also mentioned he could end up waiting until February 4th, signing day, to make his final decision.
