Williams still looking around

He was a solid pickup early on for UCLA, but since his commitment to the Bruins Mt. San Antonio OL Eddie Williams (6-1, 325) has seen his recruiting pick up. After his visit to Colorado went well, the big and physically dominant JC offensive lineman has turned his sites toward Washington and will be on Montlake this weekend to see what the Huskies have to offer.

"Oh man, Colorado really blew me away," Williams told JCFootball.com. "I can't think of anything that was bad. I just had a lot of fun there.

"The coaches and the players were cool, the campus was great and they have great facilities which I really liked a lot."

Williams played host to new Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian on Monday night and now he'll focus on his trip to Seattle this weekend.

"Coach Sark is real cool and real energetic," Williams said. "I really like him a lot and I already know coach (Demetrice) Martin, so that helps a lot too.

"I just want to see what the school is all about and what their plan is for the program and for me. I feel like I could go into any school and succeed and contribute, so it's not really a matter of playing time. It's more about what sort of comfort level I have with things."

He's also still favoring the school he committed to in November, the UCLA Bruins.

"UCLA is a great school, so it's tough because I like all of them," Williams noted. "Coach (Rick) Neuheisel and the other coaches have great reputations and I like their offense a lot, so I know it would be a great situation for me to go there too."

Williams said after his visit this weekend he'll sit down and think about things and make his final decision sometime before letter-of-intent signing day on February 4th.
