Hardy enjoys Colorado visit

He took his first official visit this past weekend and while he enjoyed his time in Boulder, Colorado, Compton WR Jewel Hardy (6-5, 195) is still waiting on his first offer. So what's next for the talented pass-catcher? Hardy spoke with JCFootball.com on Tuesday and gave us the scoop on what he plans to do over the next couple weeks...

"Colorado was a lot of fun," Hardy told JCFootball.com. "They showed us all a good time and I really felt like I got to know some of the players and some of the coaches.

"They didn't offer me, so obviously I didn't commit to them, but they said they are going to come out to see me this week and they may offer me when they come and see me."

Hardy said he's scheduled to sit down with his own head coach so the two can go over where things stand with some other programs.

"Coach Fernandez and I are going to talk about my next move," Hardy said. "I'd love to visit some other schools, but I've never done this before so he's helping me.

"Washington, Akron and Bowling Green are the schools that have been looking at me and schools I wouldn't mind visiting, but I'm going to speak with coach Fernandez so we can figure out what I'm going to do."

As a true freshman in 2008, Hardy finished fourth in catches for the Tartars, hauling in 26 receptions for 400 yards and five touchdowns.

Hardy was a full-qualifier out of high school so he is eligible to sign with a school this year and if that happens he will have four years to play three wherever he ends up.
