Butler's Everett is a 2010 player to watch

Butler always produces a plethora of D-1 talent and one of the players to watch on the Grizzlies' roster this fall is DT Marty Everett (6-5, 290). He signed with North Carolina State after a standout career at South Sumter High School in Bushnell, Florida and now he's already hearing from schools across the country, but he says there's something drawing him back to the Wolfpack...

"I'm really feeling them," Everett told JCFootball.com. "They were the school I chose over all the other schools because of their ability to produce top D-lineman and also because I liked the staff and what the school had to offer.

"They haven't officially offered me yet, but they said I have an offer waiting for me if I want to go there again and right now they are the school I'm focused on."

While Everett's coaches haven't told him about which schools are the ones eyeing him, he believes most of the schools that recruited him in high school have kept an eye on him.

"Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU and a bunch of other ones were looking at me in high school and I'm pretty sure they are still looking at me," Everett said. "I'm not too worried about it right now. I'm just working hard to make sure I'm in the shape I need to be in to have a great spring and then a great fall before I leave."

As a freshman at Butler, Everett redshirted and got into the weight room.

"Honestly I don't know any of my lifting numbers right now because we do our testing all this coming week," Everett said. "I know I'm stronger and I've worked really hard at getting into great shape so I think I will have some good numbers."

Everett says he is on pace to graduate next December and he'll have three years to play three wherever he ends up.
