Bell is one of the nation's best

One of the top JUCO wideouts in the country resides at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California and WR George Bell (6-3, 195) has schools from across the country eyeing him. Two have already stepped forward with offers and more could be on the way, but he knows he has to keep working at perfecting his craft for him to realize his near limitless potential...

Bell signed with Southern Oregon, an NAIA school, after he finished his prep career at San Diego High School.

"When I was there, I knew I could play at a higher level, so I left and came to Southwestern because I wanted the chance to play D-1," Bell told JCFootball.com recently. "I'm big and I'm physical, but I have good speed (4.4) so I can do anything you need me to do and that is what I bring to the field.

"I'm working on my explosiveness and my route-running. I also want to get stronger and that is coming as well."

As a freshman in 2008, Bell managed to haul in 80 receptions for 1,263 yards and 12 touchdowns while helping to lead Jaguars to a 7-4 record and a second place finish in the Mountain Conference.

On the recruiting front, Bell is hearing from schools across the country and two have already extended offers to the talented wideout.

"Kentucky and Nevada both have offered," Bell said. "USC and UCLA have both been talking to me a lot and Utah, San Diego State, Arizona State, Utah State and Colorado have all been by practice.

"I'm open to everyone and I want to take all my visits before I make a decision. You only get one shot at this so I need to make sure I pick the best school and situation for me."

Bell will graduate in December and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
