Two more offers on the table for Balanos

After getting an early offer from Illinois, things have really started to heat up on the recruiting front for Grossmont OT Juan Bolanos (6-7, 350). JCFootball.com got an update from the huge offensive lineman recently and he filled us in on what has been going on since the last time we spoke...

"Things have been going really good," Bolanos told JCFootball.com. "We just finished up spring ball a little while ago and I went on a two week vacation and now we're getting started on our offseason workouts so we're all focused on getting ready for the season."

Illinois was the first school to extend an offer to the huge offensive line prospect, but recently two new schools also showed Bolanos how much they liked him.

"San Diego State and Nevada both offered me," Bolanos said. "After they offered me, then schools like UCLA, USC and Tennessee all started looking at me after they came out to our practices, so they might be close to offering me too."

As a freshman at Grossmont in 2008, Bolanos started every game at right tackle and he said it's his quickness as well as his mentality that sets him apart from other offensive line prospects.

"I get out of my stance really quick and I have good technique," Bolanos said. "I like to get after guys a lot and be physical and play through the whistle. I don't like anyone to get the better of me."

Bolanos is on pace to graduate in May of 2010 and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
