Morrow is working hard this offseason

Even though he didn't play at all in 2008, El Camino CB Darrius Morrow (6-0, 180) wants to have a big 2009 season. caught up with the talented cover-corner and he updated us on things including the work he's been putting in this offseason to get better...

Morrow had an outstanding workout at the So Cal Combine in early May, posting a 4.35 forty time and a 39-inch vertical.

"I've been working really hard this offseason," Morrow told "I'm really working on my strength and explosiveness and that's going to help me a lot facing the receivers we have on our schedule."

On the recruiting front, Morrow is still waiting for his first offer and he said schools have begun to pick up the pace after watching spring practice.

"Oregon State and Oklahoma State have both started sending me a lot of stuff," Morrow said. "I hear from both of them almost every day and during May I talked to them a lot, but right now I still don't have an offer."

Oregon, Hawaii and USC are the other schools that have made contact with Morrow as well.

Since he was a full-qualifier out of high school, Morrow can leave at any time, but he expects to sign in December and he'll have four years to play three wherever he ends up.
