More interest crops up for Sherman

Scottsdale wideout Jamaine Sherman (6-2, 183) was one of the top performers at the JCFootball.com So Cal Combine this past May and more and more schools have started to take notice of what he has to offer. Sherman put in a call to JCFootball.com recently and he updated us on how things are progressing for him so far this summer...

"More schools are looking at me," Sherman told JCFootball.com. "I'm working hard to get out in December and a lot of schools want to offer me if I can get out then.

"Kansas State wanted me this year, but they said they will wait for me if I can get out in December and Oklahoma State told me the same thing.

"Tulsa, South Florida, Arizona, Memphis, Cincinnati, Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Baylor all have talked to me and said they like me a lot."

At the So Cal JCFootball.com Combine held at Orange Coast College, Sherman had an outstanding day, posting a 4.32 forty time, a 39-inch vertical and 20 reps of 185 pounds on the bench.

As a freshman last season, Sherman managed to post 20 receptions for 350 yards and one touchdown and while that's a solid season he believes he can be much better in 2009.

"I can do anything a team needs me to do," Sherman said. "I don't have fear going over the middle and I can make grabs in traffic and I have the speed to run by people, so I can do whatever they ask me to do."

We'll continue to track Sherman's progress this summer and update news as it happens.
