Weaver just keeps chugging along

OT Jason Weaver (6-5, 320) got an early offer from a Pac 10 program this spring and he continues to hear from schools across the country who have told him they have their eyes on him. While he admits he's enjoyed the recruiting process, he also said he's focused on what he has to do to become the player he wants to be so he can have a huge 2009 season...

"We're just working hard right now," Weaver told JCFootball.com. "We're in the weight room and out working on our feet and quickness. I've been working on my lower-body strength and my explosiveness so I can drive block better and get out and pull and get to guys in space.

"I've got good feet, but I really like run blocking," Weaver said. "It's all about being physical and hitting and pushing your guy down the field, that's fun stuff."

Weaver got an early offer from Arizona, while Washington, New Mexico, Nevada and Indiana all told him they liked what he had to offer.

"Basically, they all told me they liked me and how I played the game," Weaver said. "They liked me early on, but I also have schools like UNLV and Arizona State and a few others that like me as well."

Weaver has been hard at work this summer in the classroom and will graduate this December. Wherever he ends up he'll have three years to play two.
