Foothill DT has plenty of schools eyeing him

One of the best JUCO interior defensive linemen you haven't heard about yet is Foothill DT Trevor Roberson (6-6, 305). He's versatile and he's been ultra-productive so far this season and schools from across the country are taking notice. Roberson got in touch with JCFootball.com recently and he updated us on things including which ACC school could be getting close to offering...

Over the summer, Roberson was hearing from schools like Miami, Boston College, Arkansas, Marshall, California and Tennessee and while all of those schools have continued to keep in touch, other schools have come to the forefront.

"Virginia Tech has been talking to me and they sure sound like they could be close to offering me," Roberson told JCFootball.com. "They said they really like what I can do and how versatile I am. I can play end or tackle and that's something they said they like in their linemen."

Besides the interest from the Hokies, Roberson mentioned he's also hearing from LSU and TCU as well.

So far this season, Roberson has played every position along the defensive line and has totaled 6.5 sacks and 30 tackles.

"My quickness off the ball and my motor are what help me the most," Roberson said. "I'm quick and I'm strong so that creates a lot of problems for the guys going up against me."

Roberson is still on pace to graduate in December and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
