Three Fort Scott prospects to visit Nebraska

Fort Scott is ranked number one in the country and is currently preparing to take on Blinn in the NJCAA National Championship game in a couple of weeks, but this weekend three of their top D-1 prospects are headed to Lincoln to take in the Nebraska/Kansas State game. caught up with two of the three players and they gave us an update on things...

"I'm heading up there with two of my teammates this weekend," Fort Scott OT Jermarcus Hardrick told Wednesday. "I'm still committed to LSU, but I wanted to go up and see a couple of my teammates play and also just see their program.

"Me and Anthony White and Lavonte David are all going up on Friday to check it all out."

White is a player just now starting to see recruiting pick up, but he's a player who could be a difference-maker at the next level.

The Battle Creek, Michigan prospect spent a year at a prep school in Cincinnati before enrolling at Fort Scott.

This year he's having a big season for the Greyhounds, posting 60 tackles and seven sacks.

"I can play the three-tech or even move out to the edge," White said. "I'm quick off the ball for a guy my size (6-3, 300) and I'm pretty strong so that helps me a lot."

David will be joining White and Hardrick and he's having himself an All-American season posting 120 tackles, 22 tackles-for-loss and seven sacks from his outside linebacker position.

At this point, Hardrick appears to be the only player with an offer, but the other two could leave with offers from Lincoln before the end of the weekend.

We'll check in with all three after their visits to see where things stand.
