Bolanos makes the call

He's easily one of the biggest JUCO recruits in the country and this weekend, Grossmont OT Juan Bolanos (6-7, 350) became the biggest part of San Diego State's 2010 class when he decided to commit to them while he was on his official visit. JCFootball.com caught up with the huge offensive lineman and he filled us in on why he decided to become and Aztec.

"It was the feel," Bolanos told JCFootball.com Tuesday night. "It was the right fit for me. It was perfect.

"The coaches and the players just made me feel right at home and they welcomed me. I got to see the program up close and really got to connect with the staff while I was there.

"When I told them I wanted to commit, they were really excited. They said they were hoping I would commit and when I did they said I made their day."

Besides his offer form San Diego State, Bolanos also had an offer from Nevada and was getting heavy interest from schools like Arizona State, Idaho, Kansas State and TCU.

"(San Diego State) wants me at right tackle and I think that's my best position," Bolanos said. "I can run-block or pass-block. It really doesn't matter to me. I just want to improve every day and play at the highest level and I get to so, I know the coaches are excited, but I'm probably more excited for the opportunity."

Bolanos can't sign until February, but he said he doesn't plan to take any more visits. He'll have three years to play two once he arrives at SDSU.
