Hoffman still waiting on that first offer

He's still waiting to find a home to continue his college football career, but DuPage OL Jackie Hoffman (6-3, 290) isn't frustrated. JCFootball.com spoke with the versatile offensive lineman and he updated us on where things stand and which position he thinks he fits best at...

Hoffman went to high school in Chicago, but headed to DuPage after he didn't qualify to enroll at a four-year school.

"It was the best decision for me," Hoffman told JCFootball.com. "I have a 2.75 GPA now and I'm going to be done in May so I'm hoping someone takes a chance on me."

Hoffman was named First Team All-Conference as both a freshman and sophomore and was also named a Preseason All-American while starting at all five positions along the line.

"I haven't given up a sack in three years," Hoffman told JCFootball.com. "I played five games at guard and one at center this past year and all the rest of the games I started at tackle.

"I'm good in pass-protection, but I think I'm a good run-blocker too," Hoffman said. "I'll play anywhere a school needs me to play. I just want a chance to do it."

Hoffman has had several FCS schools call him, but none have ponied up offers at this point.

"Alcorn State, Southern and Prairie View A&M are the main three, but there have been others," Hoffman said. "I'm just hoping someone sees what I can do and they like me enough. I work hard and I'll do whatever they need me to do."

Hoffman will have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
