Offers roll in for Denham

The last time we spoke with East Los Angeles WR Anthony Denham (6-6, 215) he had only one offer under his belt. However, schools have begun to "storm the castle" and he's now up to four offers and more could be on the way for the talented wideout…

"Things are going good, I'm just working out and getting ready for spring ball," Denham told "I wanted to make sure I got stronger this offseason and even more explosive, so I've been doing speed and weight training and stuff like that.

"It's been going really good."

What has been going even better for the talented wideout is recruiting as schools from across the country have decided to extend offers and even more could be on the way.

"Washington was the first school that offered me," Denham said. "San Diego State, Minnesota and Wyoming are the most recent ones that have offered and USC, LSU and a few other schools have told me they are really interested, but want to evaluate me a little more.

"Washington has been recruiting me since the beginning, but I haven't talked to one of the coaches in a little while. I get a lot of letters and stuff from them though. They say they like me a lot.

"Everyone likes my size and how I can go up and get the ball. All of them like me as a wideout, but some want to use me in different ways, like in motion or out of the slot. Most like me outside though."

In only eight games, Denham posted huge numbers, hauling in 49 receptions for 1,189 yards and 16 touchdowns and he said it wasn't all just redzone touches that did the trick.

"We were desperate to make big plays, so most of those were long balls," Denham said. "My biggest game was definitely against Santa Barbara. I had 12 catches for 310 yards and five touchdowns, but I felt like I was pretty consistent most of the year."

He's still on track to finish up his AA in December and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
