Caldwell is a playmaker for Chaffey

Chaffey is loaded on both sides of the ball this year and WR Brandon Caldwell (6-1, 182) is a player on offense that four-year schools have their eyes on. The talented wideout earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors with a solid freshman campaign and this offseason he's been hard at work, getting stronger and faster, so he can have an even better 2010 campaign...

"All I've been doing is working out and going to school," Caldwell told JCFootball.com recently. "I want to put on weight, but I want it all to be muscle so I can be more physical, so I've been eating right and working out every day and doing speed training as well."

As a freshman last fall, Caldwell played in eight games, posting 31 receptions for 450 yards and five touchdowns while earning Honorable Mention All-Conference honors for his efforts.

"I can do whatever my coaches want me to do," Caldwell noted. "I can go across the middle, get down the field because I have good speed (4.4); I can block well and I'm becoming more physical as I get stronger."

Recruiting has yet to really hit its stride, but Caldwell still has a verbal offer on the table from a Big 12 school and several other schools very interested in what he has to offer.

"Colorado wanted me for this fall, but I still have to finish up my schoolwork so I can't make it this fall out there," Caldwell said. "They said they'd wait for me though, so they are a school who has offered.

"The other schools looking at me are Tennessee, Arizona, Washington, Washington State, New Mexico State, Wisconsin and Oregon State. I think I have a few offers out of those schools too, but I don't know which ones because a lot of that stuff is going through my coaches right now."

Turner said he's on pace to graduate in December and he'll have three years to play two wherever he ends up.
