Wesely pounded the strike zone in his new long relief role in the bullpen, walking just three batters over the month, and striking out 18, helping give him 1.92 walks per nine innings, and 11.57 strikeouts per nine.
Wesely held batters to a .128 batting average, and went three innings in relief four times over July, highlighted by a performance in the middle of the month where he allowed one hit in three innings while striking out five.
