OVERVIEW :

Inconsistencies have been a problem for the Triple-A affiliate of the Angels, as they found themselves in a hole, losing nine straight after a 1-1 start. The did find a recent groove, following up the losing streak by winning seven of the next nine. On the developmental side, the prospects are starting to rise in each new appearance, and the veterans are helping those with strong leadership.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH : Carlos Perez, Catcher

Perez reached base in all but one of his 15 games this season, and has picked up hits in 13, while batting .375/.420/.594 in 64 at bats. Perez also scored 10 runs and brought in 12 with his bat which were both tops on the team. Perez had 7 of his 15 games go for multiple-hits.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH : Jeremy McBryde, Right-Handed Reliever

McBryde's final outing of April jumped his ERA from 0.90 to 2.53, but no pitcher saw more appearances on the mound than McBryde and he thrived in his opportunities. McBryde has a high WHIP due to his 18 hits allowed in 10.2 innings, but the results speak for themselves, when he is shutting down the offense enough to keep them off the board the way he has.
