The second month of baseball season has come and gone, which gives Scout.com another opportunity to honor two prospects with Angels Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Month. Despite strong performances from many, one position player and one pitcher stood out over the rest in May and have been given their monthly honor from Scout.com.

Player of the Month: Mike Fish, Outfielder, Inland Empire 66ers

Mike Fish reached base safely in all 19 games he played in May, and finished the month with a .471/.561/.529 slash and .582 BAbip. Fish contributed to 21 runs, scoring 13, and bringing nine in with his bat. Fish had 12 multi-hit games in May, including all of his final six.

Pitcher of the Month: Ronald Muck, Right-Handed Reliever, Burlington Bees

Muck only pitched nine and two/third innings over May, but did all justice possible, allowing just five hits and walking one while striking out eight. He did allow one run to come across the plate, but it was unearned. Muck limited bats to a .161/.181/.225 slash over May.
