June was a harsh month for the Angels Double-A affiliate where the bats stayed quiet, and the bullpen saw some problems keeping the Travs in games. Despite just three wins between a rough start and end to June, Arkansas won eight of 10 games right in the middle of June, helping keep them in a playoff chase as the season begins it's decent.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Blake Gailen, Outfielder

Gailen has fought his way back to becoming a professional baseball player with an affiliate after two and a half years of playing in Independent Ball. He After going 0-for-5 in his return to pro ball in Double-A with the Angels, Gailen finished the rest of June with a .352/.400/.556 slash, helping the Travs with two doubles, three home runs, 10 runs scored and 10 RBI. Gailen reached base in 14 of the 17 games he played in June.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: Michael Brady, Right-Handed Starter

Brady took the Texas League by storm in June, picking up the win in three of his four starts, and posting a 1.19 ERA. To go along with his three wins, Brady allowed less than one base runner reach every inning while nearly striking out one batter per inning. Brady's success was helped by his ability to walk just one of the 83 batters he faced in June.
