The Bees have fallen, and fallen hard. June saw them go 9-20, which is a contrast with the way the season has gone. In the second and third week of June, Salt Lake won two of 15 games, and are having trouble keeping it all together, primarily impacted by transactions of players heading north in their careers to the big club. 2-13

PLAYER OF THE MONTH: Ryan Jackson, Shortstop

Jackson was one of the more prominant bats for Salt Lake in June, posting a .299/.391/.402 slash with eight doubles and a triple. Although Jackson no longer holds "prospect" status, he helped the Bees win on the base paths with 10 runs scored and brought another eight home with his bat. Jackson saw a trio of multi-hit games strung together which was bested by four straight in the latter part of June. In the final week of the month, Jackson went 11-for-27 with a .948 OPS.

PITCHER OF THE MONTH: Drew Rucinski, Right-Handed Starter

Rucinski may have had his best professional month in nearly a year during June, posting a 2.28 ERA, 1.183, and boasting a 2-0 record in four starts. Rucinski held bats to a .707 OPS, allowing just eight extra base hits over the entire month. Rucinski did not have an outing see more than two runs in June.
