Jung is the ballyhooed 17-year-old from Korea the Angels signed early this summer for a seven-figure sum. Boman is the former hot-shot prospect who signed just last week rather than return to the University of San Diego for another year.
Both are part of a contingent of impressive young arms who will work on honing their craft under the watchful eye of field coordinator Bruce Hines and a fleet of coaches from throughout the system.
Also taking the field for the first time will be tall lefty Nick Manganaro, a left-handed pitcher out of the University of South Florida who signed as an undrafted free agent.
At the plate, first-round pick Hank Conger will return to the field for the first time since having surgery to remove the hook-of-hamate bone from his wrist in late July.
Fellow catcher Ben Johnson will be the only position player in camp who played above Low-A this year after a full season with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Pitchers Anthony Ortega and Amalio Diaz both had brief stints with the Cal League squad as well.
