Weekly Astros Digest

Start you're weekend off the right way with this week's addition of Astros Digest

It's almost here: the season is almost upon us. The Astros begin Spring Training tomorrow, as they will play against the Tigers tomorrow at 12:05 PM central.

This year's Spring Training comes with as much buzz as ever; with championship expectations, fans will undoubtedly be anxious to see new acquisitions such as Carlos Beltran, Josh Reddick, and Charlie Morton in action. On top of that, question marks surrounding Dallas Keuchel and Lance McCuller's return from injuries should be something to follow, and as always there will be plenty of opportunities for the Astros' young-guns to prove themselves worthy of playing time in 2017.

I know this may just seem like homerism, but the franchise is in a really good place right now. The Astros have a championship-calibre roster dominated by rising stars, backed up by a loaded farm system. The Astros are built to be competitive for years, and hopefully this season is the beginning of something special;.

After years of mediocrity, it's a great time to be an Astros' fan. Here's to the season and a great weekend. Thanks for supporting the site, and here is you're weekly Astros Digest.
