Bees Ride Arms To Game One Win

The Burlington Bees came into the post-season carrying a six-game losing streak, but they hardly looked like a team that was struggling on Wednesday night. Tanner Peters was brilliant in his start and the Bees cruised to a 4-0 win in Game One.

The Burlington Bees shook off a late-season slide and earned a Game One win over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in the best-of-three Round One series.

Tanner Peters got the start for the Bees and he was dominant. The right-hander allowed only two hits and one walk in seven shut-out innings. He struck-out six in the 4-0 win. Reliever Seth Frankoff and Jose Macias were equally dominant. Frankoff worked a perfect eighth inning, striking out one, while Macias allowed a hit but struck-out the side in the ninth.

Bobby Crocker had the big hit of the night for the Bees, a two-run homer in the second inning. He went 2-for-4. Max Muncy reached base three times with two hits (including a double) and a walk. He also drove-in a run. Royce Consigli added two hits and the recently promoted John Wooten had a double.

The Bees will travel to Wisconsin to take-on the Timber Rattlers on Thursday. If Burlington wins, they will move on to Round Two. If they lose, they will take on the Timber Rattlers in a win-or-go-home game on Friday night.
