Notes: The Sounds managed just four singles and one walk on a quiet night offensively. Nashville grounded into three double-plays and struck-out seven times. Dodgers' prospect Zack Lee allowed only three hits in six shutout innings. Former A's supplemental first-round pick Corey Brown got the start for OKC and walked. Former A's prospect Alex Hassan also got the start for OKC and he had two hits. LA Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal played on a rehab assignment. He went 0-for-3. The game was delayed 45 minutes at the start by rain.

Notes: Every batter but one reached base safely for Midland at least once. Brugman homered in his first at-bat of the season. Midland scored six runs in the first two innings to chase Arkansas starter Kyle McGowin. Jensen was brilliant in his start, allowing just four base-runners in six innings. Doolittle struck-out the side in order in his inning. Sanchez retired the side in order and finished the game on a strike-out.

Notes: Before the game, the Ports and A's announced that they had extended their Player Development Contract through 2020. The A's have had their High-A affiliate in Stockton since 2005. Nine different Ports' hitters had base-hits in the game and 10 reached base safely. Stockton had 16 hits in total. Ports' pitchers struck-out 11 in the game. The only runs for Modesto came on a two-run homerun by Rockies' prospect Forrest Wall.

Notes: Friedrichs and Driver are tandem starters. In that arrangement, no starter will go more than five innings and the tandem partner comes on in relief. The next time through the rotation, Driver will start and Friedrichs will relieve. Driver walked the first two batters he faced, but then allowed just a hit over three innings.
