Oakland A's 2016 third-round pick Sean Murphy is off to a strong start to his professional career. On June 30, he became the first Vermont Lake Monsters' hitter to go 4-for-4 since Addison Russell in 2012. Murphy had a two-run single in the Lake Monsters' 7-0 win on Tuesday night. He is now batting .289 with a homer and four RBI in 11 games for Vermont. Murphy has also thrown out six of 13 attempted base-stealers. He was the first position player drafted by the A's in 2016.
