Oakland A's extend PDC with Beloit Snappers through 2018

Oakland A's fans won't have to learn any new affiliates for the 2017 season.

The Oakland A's will maintain their affiliation with the Beloit Snappers through the 2018 season, the two franchises announced on Friday. The A's expiring Player Development Contract (PDC) with Beloit was their last PDC to attend to for the 2017 season.

The A's have had their Low-A affiliate in Beloit since the 2013 season, when Oakland made the move from the Burlington Bees to the Snappers. The Snappers made the post-season in 2013 but have failed to post a winning record since that year. The A's have had their Low-A affiliate in the Midwest League since 2003. The A's had their Midwest League affiliate in Kane County from 2003-2010.
