Oakland A's right-handed pitching prospect Dakota Chalmers recently completed his first full season in professional baseball. The Georgia native threw 67 innings for the short-season Vermont Lake Monsters. He posted a 4.70 ERA and a 62:37 K:BB. Opposing hitters batted .217 against him.
Chalmers was the A's third-round pick in 2015 and he signed an above-slot deal after turning down a scholarship offer at Georgia. He turned 20 on October 8 and is slated to make his full-season debut next year, likely with Low-A Beloit.
