Video: Lazarito makes Oakland A's big league spring debut

Lazaro Armenteros, otherwise known as Lazarito, made his Oakland A's big league spring training debut on Saturday. Kimberly Contreras has exclusive video of the 17-year-old's first at-bat.

Lazaro Armenteros was the Oakland A's most high-profile international free agent signing in 2016. The 17-year-old native of Cuba inked a deal worth a reported $3 million to join the A's last July 2nd. He will make his regular season debut in the A's system sometime this year, but on Saturday, he made his A's major league spring training debut.

The outfielder pinch-hit in the DH spot in the eighth inning with Sean Murphy on second base and no outs. Lazarito hit a deep fly ball to center that advanced Murphy to third. Murphy would score on a Chris Parmelee sacrifice fly. Lazarito then came-up again in the ninth inning, popping out to second to end the game. The video above is of Lazarito's first at-bat.
