Tyson Ross got the start for the Ports. He walked the first three batters of the game, but settled down after that and allowed only a run in the first. He was victimized by some bloop hits in the second, which led to another run. Ross, who was limited to a 60-pitch limit, faced two batters in the third. He walked the first batter and induced what appeared to be a double-play ball, but it was booted by shortstop Frank Martinez. Martinez would have two errors in the game.
Ross would leave after that batter and was relieved by Justin Murray. Murray pitched well in the third and fourth, but then allowed two runs in the fifth and came apart in the sixth, when he gave up five runs on two homeruns (a solo shot and a grandslam).
The Ports' offense was mostly quiet on Sunday. Stockton scored three times in the second inning. The big hit in the inning was a two-run triple by Alexander Valdez. The Ports would score only one more time in the game, on an RBI double from Michael Richard.
