InsideTheDome: How does it feel to be a Blue Jay?
Michael McDade:: It feels great; it has been the best day.
InsideTheDome: What are you most looking to improve on as a hitter?
Michael McDade:: Be more selective at the plate. Also being able to go both ways at the plate, and hit to the opposite field.
InsideTheDome: Do you plan to continue to play catcher, or are you open to playing other positions?
Michael McDade:: I think I'm going to be able to play first base also, but I'd like to continue to catch.
InsideTheDome: What would you like to improve on defensively?
Michael McDade:: For catching I'd like to work on blocking and also my footwork and arm strength. So I will definitely be in the weight room getting bigger, faster and stronger.
InsideTheDome: Who in the majors would like to model yourself after?
Michael McDade:: I've always looked up to Ken Griffey Jr.
InsideTheDome: Did you anticipate being selected by the Blue Jays and in this round?
Michael McDade:: They had been calling me more recently. I was surprised how high I went.
InsideTheDome: Are you going to accept the offer?
Michael McDade:: Yes.
InsideTheDome: When do you expect to sign?
Michael McDade:: Tuesday.
InsideTheDome: Did you sign to any colleges?
Michael McDade:: I committed to Southern Nevada Junior College.
InsideTheDome: Some say high school players need more developing in the minors than players with some college experience, what edge do you have that will allow to compete with others?
Michael McDade:: I have a good head the game, I'm smart.
