Braves Make 14 Roster Moves

The Atlanta Braves today made 14 roster moves, involving nine pitchers, two catchers and three outfielders.

The Braves optioned pitchers Matt Belisle, John Ennis and Billy Sylvester to AAA Richmond, and pitchers Brett Evert and Chris Waters, outfielders Cory Aldridge and Ryan Langerhans to AA Greenville. The club also reassigned pitchers Chris Fussell and Chris Haney and catcher Lee Evans to Richmond and pitchers Bubba Nelson and Adam Wainwright and catcher Jean Boscan to Greenville.

Outfielder Jeff Francoeur, the Braves' first pick in last year's June draft, was reassigned to Class A Rome.

The moves leave the Braves with 42 players in camp: 18 pitchers, five catchers, 13 infielders and six outfielders.
