Who has started the season hot in the system?

Pedro Ciriaco is hitting .306 for Gwinnett.

Eury Peraz leads the International League with six stolen bases.

Donnie Veal has yet to allow an earned run in five relief appearances in Triple-A.

John Cornely is doing well in his first stint in AAA, with a 1.13 ERA in four games, 10 strikeouts in 8 innings.

Mississippi's Mallex Smith has hit .323 in his first seven games, with four stolen bases.

The transition to the bullpen for Mauricio Cabrera has gone well so far, as Cabrera has not allowed an earned run in three games.

Rome third baseman Jordan Edgerton is off to a strong start, with a .308 batting average and five RBI in his first eight games.

Max Povse has had two great starts to begin the season, as he has allowed only one earned run in 10 innings.

Who is struggling so far?

Jose Peraza has just eight hits in his first 37 at bats or a .216 batting average.

Todd Cunningham (.143) and Joe Benson (.174) almost made the Atlanta roster but they have struggled so far in AAA.

Carolina's Jose Briceno has cooled off, now with a .174 batting average in his first seven games.

Braxton Davidson had the home run on opening night (Rome's only home run of the season by the way) but since then has seen his batting order dip to .100.

Tanner Murphy struggling with a .045 average, only one hit in his first 22 at bats in the Sally League.
