Braves' right-handed prospect Touki Toussaint has third straight strong outing

The Braves really hope Touki Toussaint can become a top prospect. He's showing signs in Rome.

Touki Toussaint had another solid outing Tuesday in his sixth start of the season for the Rome Braves.

Toussaint allowed just two runs on three hits in six innings, with two walks and four strikeouts. In Toussaint's last three starts, he's allowed five runs on 10 hits in 16 innings, with four walks and 11 strikeouts (2.81 ERA).

Toussaint had allowed 15 earned runs in his first three starts, with nine walks in 10.2 innings, so his last three starts are a very positive sign.

The Braves surprised many when they decided to send Toussaint back to Rome to start the season. He made 10 starts there last season after being acquired from the Diamondbacks.

For the season, Toussaint now has an ERA of 6.75. He's allowed 29 hits in 26.2 innings, 13 walks and 16 strikeouts.
